Westminster Council attempt censorship a third time
Bungling Westminster City Council have made a third attempt to censor any coverage of the No To Bike Parking Taxes campaign. They first made legal threats against the campaigns forum resulting in it being taken down. Then they blocked their own staff from viewing the campaigns website, falsely claiming it contained pornographic material.
Westminster City Council control freaks have now asked freelance journalist Jo Fahy to remove a podcast she published on her website about the No To Bike Parking Taxes campaign.
The podcast was an unbiased piece of reporting which aimed to put both sides of issue over charging for bikes paying to park in Westminster. The podcast contained an interview with Westminster low ranking officer Kieran One Size Fitsall.
But Westminster never learn do they, how can they stop a podcast of all things which has been downloaded to thousands of machines from being listened too. Why do Westminster City Council not want you to hear the podcast, could it be that Kieran One Size Fitsall sounds like such a cock in his interview. Claiming that it’s nothing new for Westminster City Council to have thousands of protesters outside City Hall.
Why not judge for yourselves why Westminster want this recording banned.

Maybe a Freedom of Information (FOI) request is required to find out the truth from the City of Westminster.
More evidence of Westminster acting like bullies throwing their weight around every time something comes near to reporting the truth.
This is all going to blow back in their faces.
rebbeca, i’ve got an foi, they’re claiming she was doing it for a ’student assessment’
She has emailed to say she has to ‘agree to disagree’ with that interpretation as it was not recorded when she agreed to do it…
There is no justification for having this podcast removed. Why did the NUJ agree to do so? It should go back onto the website it was removed from.
I thought Stalin was dead?! Seems like he’s alive and well and operating out of Westminster City Hall.
Strange the council can broadcast any old tat on their website, like “how successful the scheme has been” as if any riders had a choice not to pay to get to work. Didn’t feel comfortable in saying how much they had fleeced from the riders though.
Any one trying to rock the boat and they are on them like a ton of bricks whether the truth is told or not. Will be interesting to see Chalkley spluttering in court on how the numbers never add up, logistics firms prompted to support him by mysterious deals to avoid fines, 3,000+ objections tossed to one side in favour of purple rinsed councillors quoting half baked French newspaper stories.
I bet his minions are looking for a big pay rise this year for coping with all the crap work he’s generated.
FOI requests do not shake any truths out of the council on this matter. They reinterpret or ignore questions at will, whilst pretending to comply with their duties under the act.
I have repeatedly asked whether they have monitored the change number of bikes in the zone as a result of the charge or if not whether they intend to. I have been stonewalled by irrelevant facts and avoidance of straight questions
Pity they don’t see the connection between my Business Rates and their wages
