What happens when bikers are ignored
This what happens when some local Westminster City Council politicians and their officers forget that they are only in office to serve the people, and not to further their own political careers by illegally awarding contracts to their friends in business.
A protest which Westminster City Councillors claimed would only last a few months is now in it’s 17th month and still growing. We have seen a number of the Councillors and their officers (Alastair Gilchrist, Kevin Goad and Kieran Fitsall) display such incredible arrogance towards the public thinking they could get away with conning bikers out of cash. So during the recent holiday some bikers took back the power from this corrupt and dishonest council, and reclaimed a very large number of motorcycle parking bays.
If the signs are defaced the bay is free to park, and you can read more about what to do if you receive a PCN from one of the few over zealous target driven Westminster parking wardens in this thread ( NoTo official forum).
Nutsville would like to see everyone take back these bays from this incredibly stupid council and show them it’s the public they should be serving not themselves or the private companies with their snouts in the Westminster parking trough.
So don’t just meekly hand over your money to a few shareholders of Canadian owned Verrus, FIGHT BACK NOW.

If you disagree with parking charges for motorcycles take any kind of sticker with you and stick it onto the lower sign; covering either the Bay Location number or any part of the phone number.
Every second it takes for a CEO to remove a sticker is a second not spent on issuing tickets.

The motorcyclists and scooterists are making the Westminster motorcycle bays free of charge again. I hope Westminster City Council is losing a lot of revenue because of this, on both fronts; no revenue from the Verrus pay by phone parking system or from the parking tickets issued by the NSL/WCC traffic wardens.
I bet we will start seeing even more charging signs in motorcycle bays damaged/obscured/removed as motorbike and scooter riders have had enough now. We’ve played nice for far too long and Westminster Council just ignore our [the citizens] concerns. We won’t go away until bike parking in the City of Westminster is free again.
I must dash, I need to buy some paint!
What a great start to the year this made when i rode into work this morning. Thanks to whoever did this, i must say it’s about time chalkley was put in his place.

Why? what they gonna do they ain’t done already? Disobedience is the inevitable consequence of continually disregarding majority opinion. Each objector only has to deface one sign a piece and the whole debacle will come to a grinding halt.
Now all we need is the car drivers to join in and all of us can park for free
Yes it is vandalism and no I would not do it my self or condone anyone doing this but concider the alternative. Who ether is doing this has a growing hatered for those in althoraty and a lack of respect for those processes that are supposed to keep them in check. I think that the damaged signs are acting as a safty valve that is protecting those like Dany Chalkly from much wost than this.
It’s their own fault.
If they impose a ludicrous and exclusive system (like the legendarily shite Verr-arse system) then if one part of that exclusive system fails, they can have no alternative method of charging.
Just goes to show how frail the whole infrastructure is…
I think chalkley and his fellow councillors should think seriously about how this unjustified tax on bikers is going. Things are escalating, and from reading the many council reports, it’s clear to me that Westminster do not understand the biking community and taken them for fools.
So far things have been unusually diplomatic, but as that seems not to have worked it looks like the mood has darkened.
I wonder why Westminster Council continue to poke a dangerous hornets nest repeatedly with a stick. They must be fools or think they are untouchable.
It’s only needs certain 1%’ers to start taking action, if they aren’t already!

Get someone to steal the polls the signs are attached to and sell them for scrap metal, it would take Waistminster ages to replace them!! LOL
I hear that cretins employed by WCC to clean the signs are using paint thinners or paint remover, some of which is being splashed on motorcycles & scooters parked underneath.
Check to see if the sign has been cleaned, check your machine for damage and, if there is solvent residue SUE THE BASTARDS!!!
great job guys..it is just as simple as date…speak to the people in the language they understand…i can’t believe , you guys waited so long to take action…it si so simple..no valid time plate means no P.C.N..so i you don’t want the bike tax, you know what to do..
