A yellow line too far

Westminster City Council’s leader Colin Barrow is due to announce tomorrow he is to step down as leader of the council.

Current news reports suggest that Barrow made the decision to resign months ago, with the BBC quoting Barrow saying “I made this decision not to seek re-election for a second term last Summer but I didn’t want to announce it then and to leave my successor with the parking charges issue at the top of their inbox as they started their term”

Oh well at least he leaves appearing to be just as honest as always.

We hope that Cllr Lee Rolwey and Barrow’s old mate the councils chief executive Mike More will follow Barrow out the door.

Doesn’t stop the yellow lines/night parking policies from being laid and continued unless people make some noise to councillors, one of whom will be the next leader. Write your Westminster councillors and tell them to suspend all actions related to this.

Good news: ding dong, the witch is (soon to be) dead.

Bad news: now he has absolutely nothing to lose.

Bye Bye Colin, I don’t think anybody is going to be interested in your writings and lectures so don’t get too excited. I think you’re authoritarian at heart, so your lectures would probably scare people. So what about Lee Rowley and Rosemarie MacQueen, are they going to stand down also? You only have to google ‘Lee Rowley Hanover’ to see how popular Rowley has been with his public ‘consultations’ on parking. In my opinion these no marks have done more damage in the last 18 months to the Tory vote than Ken Livingstone. The current road markings taking place need to be suspended whilst Westminster City Council Tories takes stock of the situation, and realize that they work for us and not the other way round. I have never before seen such an insane policy being followed through, and am personally amazed that a number of people were willing to be immortalized in the media potentially having their careers wrecked. Local Councils around the UK should take note of all this, it is they with their parking fees that are destroying High Streets and forcing people to out of town malls and internet shopping.

Whilst Barrow standing down you will get another tosser replacing him. Seeing as though Westminster is full of them this is a no win situation for residents of Westminster, while the Tories remain so will these stupid ideas of ripping off the public

James, i don’t think Ken and Labour with the confestion charge was a lot better. The bulk of people didn’t want that either when ‘consulted’. We need a reform of the system, for example no councillors should ever receive a free parking permit or space. They are out of control, and wrecking High Streets the length of the country with extortionate parking fees. And let’s not forget who started this war on motorists…..Labour.

To “The Chief Executive Michael More of Westminster Council ” you must eliminated Fraud over these Housing Benefit Claims of these Excessive Services Charges by these Housing Association under 4758 Third Parties Administration and Management Costs’ and seem to be ripping off the Local Authority out of the “Public Purse” of the Taxpayer. The Housing Benefit paying part or all of these Service Charges Payments. Why is the Local Authority not ensuring Fraud is not happening by these Housing Association and a solid audit trail that can be inspected by any Customer whom is a General Needs, Leaseholder or any Owner paying Service Charges which will lead to in April, 2013 to more “Social Cleansing” to my Horror, Shock, Grasp” See the Welfare Reform Act April, 2013 and limit of £26,000.00 this includes all payments per household and People being paid directed from a Universal Credit Account and no longer paid direct to the Housing Association (well how may people going to feed the children first before pay the Rent or these Excessive Service Charges, along with any Utility Bills ) (but could change over night awaiting “Royal Assent” and along with paying a Bedroom Tax of £14.00 per room which if your unoccupied by one or more bedroom’s which you have to find from your Universal Credit and move to a Smaller Home. (well it is not just bricks and mortar)

How our you Westminster Council determine reasonableness before deciding if they will pay all or only part of the total costs.

Now due to some Customer’s on low wages or on the minimum wage not a Living wage which people in London should be receiving. These people will not be able to afford these increasing so its out with Social Inclusion back to Social Exclusion and why does not Westminster Council carry out a “Risk Assessment” on these Service Charge Payments from these Housing Association

In the same way that Housing being built under Tory policy is not affordable and the “Universal Benefit” is not UNIVERSAL, and the NHS is not safe in their hands!

Where a law that is morally wrong that those charged to apply it need do so, and those disproportionately disadvantaged by the immoral law need NOT be bound by it.

But will the wider Community Support or Vilify Tenants
