An Apology ;)

In the past few weeks, we, as residents of Westminster may have inadvertently given the impression that the introduction by Westminster Council of a parking tax for motorbikes was nothing short of a reckless political act which was ill-conceived in every respect, unsupported by the local people, and regarded as a ruthless exercising of their powers.

Headlines such as “Up the Chakley Cliffs”, “The Wheels Come off at Westminster”, “Blundering Council On Brink Of Humiliating Defeat” may have given the impression that we believed in some way that the bike tax was not going quite as well as planned.

Westminster claimed that they had used the introduction of the tax to pay for security devices for motorbikes. This was widely ridiculed as a farcical claim that had not a scintilla of truth or substance.

It was clear to everyone that Danny Chalkley, the architect of the scheme, was not to be trusted and was a man of little integrity whose closeness to the levers of power was a disgrace. He was but a fanatical crackpot hell-bent on propping up Westminster’s monstrous deficits at the expense of a soft target. Chalkely was rightly labelled as a financial incompetent scarcely capable of a career as a vendor of shellfish.

We have now been provided with photographic evidence of the ‘security devices’ and in light of this would like to apologise to Westminster Council and Cllr Chalkely.

We now accept that Westminster Council have made good on their promise to provide security devices for motorbikes and it is clear Westminster are a Council of merit, supervised by a Councillor who is magnetically inspiring to his fellow members.

The fact cannot be to widely known that Danny Chalkely is a man of moral rectitude, vision and is nothing short of a financial genius that has saved Westminster from certain destruction.

For those doubtful of Westminster pledge, below is a photographic image of Westminster’s brilliant security devices principally for the use of motorbikes.

Money well spent!

£400,000 security chain

Looks to me like that chain could be cut with bolt cutters in a matter of seconds so not exactly a security device. It looks home made to me, is this what Danny boy gets up to in his spare time? I must say though, it looks like a nice trip hazard.

Where was this picture taken?

This is a very good example of Westminster being very good at collecting money from Londoners and totally unable to provide a good service with it. It clearly shows how incompetent Cllr Chalkley is. At this rate, his career will shortly be ruined.

LOL – that is excellent!

Its a shame that picture wasn’t put to the ‘Scrutiny’ commitee last night so they could see where the money had gone.

I wonder if Danny will see it and identify with one or other of the descriptions?
